Margaret Lettera, 99

Margaret Lettera, 99, a long-time Staten Island resident, died in her home on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Sunrise Senior Living.  Born Margherita Ferraro in Hells Kitchen, Manhattan, she moved to Staten Island in 1957.

She worked as a bookkeeper in Manhattan before raising a family.  She returned to work as a bookkeeper with her husband’s firm before retiring in 1992.

Margaret enjoyed cooking, baking, and crocheting but mostly being with and caring for her grandchildren.  She was a parishioner of St. Ann’s R.C. Church in Dongan Hills.

Margaret’s husband, Dominic Joseph died in 1996.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Larry and James, their wives, Lois and Gail, seven grandchildren, Caitlin, Erin, Lisa, James, Michael, Diana and Kristie, and 3 great grandchildren.
