Madeline Celentano peacefully passed away on January 5, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born in Brooklyn, Madeline moved to Staten Island with her husband Robert and two children, Vincent and Debra, in the early 1980's. She worked as a paralegal but took joy in raising her children and watching them flourish. In 2002, she moved to Stroudsburg PA with her husband and daughter.
For Madeline, family was the most important thing, and her grandchildren were simply the joy of her life. She shared a special and unique bond with each of them. She also loved her grand-puppy Bella. She spent hours petting her and sharing her food with Bella.
Madeline loved to go apple picking; her favorite vacation spot was Lake George, and it was always better when her entire family joined her in the fun.
She didn’t have many hobbies, but she loved her politics, coloring with her granddaughters, volunteering at the thrift store, and her ice cream. She often made her friends and family laugh with her witty and sometimes inappropriate comments.
Madeline was married to Robert for nearly 30 years. They shared many wonderful moments during their marriage. She missed him greatly and is finally reunited with him.
Madeline is survived by her son Vincent Celentano, his wife Giovanna, her daughter Debra Barankovich, and her husband Daniel. She was the beloved grandmother of Genna Lynn, Vincent Anthony, and Vanessa Ava.
