STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Lucrezia Pagnotta, 80, of Rossville, a retired paraprofessional and a loving mother and grandmother, died Friday in Calvary Hospital, Brooklyn.
Born Lucrezia Squicciarini in Brooklyn, she moved to Rossville in 2007.
Mrs. Pagnotta was a paraprofessional for the former city Board of Education for 22 years, retiring in 1998.
A graduate of Bay Ridge High School, she attended Kingsborough Community College, both Brooklyn.
Mrs. Pagnotta was a religious woman devoted to family. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking and visiting her home in Masten Lake, N.Y. She also participated in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk and was a fan of Jeopardy! and Let's Make a Deal.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Rossville.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Alfred; her daughters, Laurie Canciglia, Margery Fico, Janice Rudzinski and Karyn Freglette; a brother, Joseph,a sister-in law, Rosemary, and 10 grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cloister, Queens.
