Louise Pisapia, 78, of Bay Terrace passed away on June 2nd. Louise was predeceased by her husband Fred.
She was survived by her two sons John & Fred and daughters-in-law Christine (Idone) Pisapia & Audree (Morrison) Pisapia. Grandma Lu had eight grandchildren Gabrielle, Justin, Corey, Ryan, DJ, Christian, Evie, and Julian. She was the cherished sister of Joanne (Marra) Guccio and the late Anthony Marra. In addition, Louise loved her nieces and nephews, who also share wonderful memories of Louise over the years.
Louise was born and raised in Park Slope, Brooklyn. In 1971, she moved with her family to their first home in Grasmere, Staten Island, and then moved to Dongan Hills. Louise’s family and friends have many memories of her celebrating holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions at their home on Naughton Avenue.
After raising her two sons, Louise began working at a law firm where she stayed for over 20 years, eventually working her way up to being a paralegal. She was hardworking, trustworthy, respected, and loved by her coworkers and friends.
Louise and Fred eventually moved to Bay Terrace, where she lived among her many friends, for the remainder of her life. Louise enjoyed nothing more than cooking and spending holidays with her family. As a grandmother, she was “all in” and hands-on, never missing a sporting event, performance, or school function for any of her grandchildren. All of her grandchildren’s friends and teammates knew her and often requested her famous meatballs.
Louise valued time with her family and grandchildren over everything. Her selfless, caring, and gentle demeanor will be remembered and cherished.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Ryan Pisapia Memorial Fund.
