Louis Edward Sinski, 57, son of Eleanor Catherine Sinski and Andrew M. Sinski, was born March 2, 1959, and died June 4, 2016.
Tottenville born and raised, he later moved to Great Kills.
Louis is survived by his older siblings, sister, Pamela Micciulla, and brother, Andrew Sinski, as well as three nephews and three nieces.
He was a member and volunteer at South Baptist Church on Main Street in Tottenville for more than 20 years.
Louis belonged to The Staten Island Exceptional Children's Social Club for 40 years, where he and other special needs children and adults participated in weekly bowling and annual trips to horse ranches, casinos, etc.
Louis enjoyed arts and crafts classes, cooking classes, and other social functions at the day and night programs at Very Special Place on New Dorp Lane for approximately 15 years. He participated as an advocate for the intellectual disabled, alongside Theo Rossi in the Right To Be Me series: www.people.com/article/theo-rossi-advocate-intellectual-disabilities-a-very-special-place
Louis regularly enjoyed watching baseball, eating out and playing cards with friends and family. His warm and charismatic personality was felt by everyone he met.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, 7447 Amboy Road, S.I., N.Y. Interment is in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may visit on Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
