Louis Thomas Pagliuco, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and lifelong resident of Tottenville, Staten Island, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, September 1, 2022. Lou was born on October 15, 1926. He attended Public School 1 and Tottenville High School. Lou served in the United States Army Air Corps near the end of World War II. He worked for forty years as a tugboat deckhand and owned Tottenville Car Service. Lou married Dorothy Bundesen on June 19, 1954. The couple raised their four children in the home Lou built for his family. Lou was a talented carpenter, a skilled craftsmen, and stone mason. His passions were building and repairing things with his brother Joe, watching the Yankees, but most importantly, he loved spending time with his wife of 59 years, his children and 10 grandchildren.
Louis was the second youngest of the six children of Mary and Aneillo Pagliuco. He is predeceased by Anna, Gaetano (Tommy), Catherine, Joseph, and Theresa. Lou was 95 years old and was predeceased by his loving wife, Dorothy (2013). He was the beloved father of Tom (Ellen), Nancy (Michael), Carol (Terrance), Mark (Alena) and grandfather of, Joe (Kat), Anthony, Dana (Graham), Ryan, Kyle (Helene), Brianna, Cate, James, Sara, Joseph and great grandfather of Leo.
Services will be handled by the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, 7447 Amboy Rd., NY 10307 on Monday September 5, 2022 from 3–7p.m. and funeral mass at Our Lady Help of Christians on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 10 AM.
