Lorraine M. Meys, 51, of Huguenot, a school aide and a loving wife and mother, died Tuesday in New York Presbyterian Hospital, Manhattan, after a brief illness.
Born and raised Lorraine M. Lozito in Brooklyn, she graduated from Fontbonne Hall Academy in her native borough.
Mrs. Meys earned a bachelor's degree in marketing at Pace University, Manhattan.
She worked for nine years as a school aide at PS 58 in New Springville.
Known for her warm heart and outgoing personality, she was beautiful on the outside and even more on the inside, her family said.
Mrs. Meys cherished time spent with her family.
In her leisure, she enjoyed shopping for clothes, shoes and purses.
Mrs. Meys was a parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea R.C. Church, Huguenot.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Paul; her sons, Kevin Duffy and Nicholas Meys; her parents, Joseph and Lorraine Lozito; two brothers, William and Joseph Lozito, and her grandmother, Catherine Lozito.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
