On Friday, February 19th, 2021, Lorraine Lee, loving mother of two sons, passed away peacefully at the age of 81 in Hillsborough, NJ surrounded by family and friends.
Lorraine was born on May 13th 1939 in Staten Island to John and Victoria Masinski (nee Karbowski). She attended Curtis high school, graduating in 1957 where she was on the swim team. She worked as a bookkeeper at Demyan’s Hofbrau for 12 years. On June 7, 1958, she married Staten Island resident Frank Porcelli. They raised two sons, Roger and Frank on the North Shore of Staten Island. There was nothing she wouldn't do for her sons.
Lorraine lived in Tampa, Florida for many years, working at the Sheraton Sand Key, where she made many friends and enjoyed her time in the hospitality industry. She always had a smile and kind word for every guest during their stay. In 2006 she retired and moved to Little Egg Harbor, NJ where she enjoyed spending time with her family in Long Beach Island, NJ and volunteering at Habitat for Humanity in Manahawkin, NJ. An avid reader, she spent many hours enjoying a good book and loved to cook for her family.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her father John, mother, Victoria, brother John Jr. and niece, Kathleen. She is survived by her brother Arthur and Carl, son's Roger and Frank and granddaughter Waverly, along with nephews Kevin and Carl Jr.
Services will be held at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1 to 4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to Habitat for Humanity in her name.
