Linda J. Miesegaes

Linda Joan Miesegaes,74, passed away at home, where she lived with her husband, Bruce and daughter Stephanie, on November 20, 2024.

Linda was born on Staten Island in December, 1949.  She went to P.S. 5 and was a graduate of Tottenville High School. She was the Captain of the cheerleading squad for the Plainsmen.   Linda worked at the Westerleigh Bank for many years before working  as a legal secretary for a law firm in downtown Manhattan.  

After her retirement, she enjoyed going on cruises and on River Cruises .  She liked going to Atlantic City, where she was an avid gambler.  She also enjoyed watching football, Nascar and the NY Yankees,

Linda is predeceased by her father William (Buddy) Halvorsen and her sister Margaret (Peggy) Halvorsen. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Bruce Miesegaes; children Brian Miesegaes (Suzanne Woodman), Stephanie Sileo, Loretta Uszacki (Ray); six grandchildren; mother Margaret Halvorsen; sisters Judy Ford and Nancy Unger; and her bird, Jake, who she has had for many years.
