Lifelong Tottenville resident Kenneth Soloman, 56, a retired boat operator who loved boats and being near the water, died Tuesday in Addeo Hospice House, Egbertville, shortly after admission.

Mr. Soloman attended Tottenville High School.

He worked for 15 years as a boat operator for International Technologies in the marine environmental industry, helping clean up oil spills. He retired in 1999.

Mr. Solomon was an avid New York Rangers fan and also enjoyed listening to 1970s classic rock music.

He worshipped at St. Paul's Methodist Church, Tottenville.

Surviving are his brothers, Arthur and William.

Arrangements, including cremation, are being handled by the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville.
