Kenneth John Danielsen, Sr.

November 10, 1946 — October 19, 2023

Kenneth John Danielsen, Sr., 76, beloved father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother and uncle, died on October 19, 2023, in Staten Island, New York. 

Born in Brooklyn, he grew up in Prince's Bay on Staten Island. He graduated from Tottenville High School and went on to graduate from the New York School of Printing.  He started his career at Polytechnic Institute in New York and retired as a Director of Computer Services from New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, New Jersey. 

In an ode to his Norwegian heritage, his cherished six grandchildren affectionately refer to him as "Bestefar."  His hobbies included fishing, hunting, coin collecting  and during the holidays playing Santa for family and friends. 

Ken is predeceased by his adored parents, Bjorne and Thelma Danielsen, and his former wife Rosemarie Powers.  

He is survived by his loving children, Kenneth Jr. (Deidra), Kevin (Amber) and Christopher Danielsen (Danielle); his six adored grandchildren, Ava, Christian, Noah, Kenny, Gabriella and Sienna Danielsen. He is also survived by his brother, Roy Danielsen and sister, Judy Murphy (James), as well as his nieces and nephews, Pamela Costanza (Vincent), Dennis Murphy (Aimee), Jacqueline Speciale, James Powers (Megan), Alyssa and Vincent Costanza.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on October 22, 2023 from 12 to 4 p.m. at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, 7447 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY.  Cremation to follow. 

In honor of his love for his departed pets, the family has kindly asked for donations to be sent to the ASPCA in lieu of flowers.
