June Moccia

Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, June Moccia, 92, passed peacefully at home on May 27, 2023.
She was born in Tarrytown, N.Y., grew up in the Bronx, N.Y. and moved to Staten Island in 1957.
After settling in Eltingville, June was a long time cashier at ShopRite in Oakwood. She moved to Tottenville in 1973. She held numerous jobs, her favorite being her last, working at the Carousel for All Children in Willowbrook Park, retiring at age 82.
June was a dedicated, selfless and loving person to not only her own family, but to many others over the years. She loved all animals, but dogs and her backyard birds were her favorites. Her most memorable trips were to Hawaii and the Grand Canyon.
Her passing leaves her daughters, Christine Coleman, Pauline Bergen (James), Grace Scarpato (Richard), 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. June will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and her loving devotion for family and friends.
The wake will be held at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, 7447 Amboy Road, Staten Island, New York 10307 on Wednesday, May 31st, 2023 from 2pm - 4pm and 7pm - 9pm. A private Service will be held for the family Thursday morning.
In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations in Junes name to the Carousel for All Children at the Greenbelt Conservancy.
