Joyce Cecelia Schnurr, 86, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and native Staten Islander, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Nov. 30, 2019.
Joyce was born on Staten Island on Dec. 1, 1932. She was the daughter of John and Helen Hoagland.
Joyce was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Vincent Schnurr. She is survived by her five daughters and their spouses, Helen Cummings (the late William Cummings), Laura Pope (John Pope), Beverly Woglom (Mark Woglom), Sandra Melisi (Sam Melisi), Kimberly Mazurek (Raymond Mazurek); siblings, Dorothy Hoagland, Donna Healey, John Hoagland; 14 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Joyce enjoyed spending time with her daughters, shopping and dinners. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, at St. Joseph's Church-Rossville at 11 a.m. Burial of the ashes will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019, at St. Joseph's Cemetery-Rossville at 11 a.m.
