Josephine M. Eckert, 93 years old of Tottenville, Staten Island, NY passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. Josephine was born on September 21, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York to Julia and Gaetano Seddo.

Josephine was the mother of five children. Despite her large family, Josephine was available for everyone including grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom she loved and mentored as well. She was always known as Ma, Grandma and Aunt Jo. She was a great cook and her specialty all over the area was her “Eggplant Parmesan”.

Josephine is survived by her loving son, Timothy Eckert (wife Kate), daughters, Julia DeVito (husband Frank) and Deneen Lella (husband Andrew) and son-in law, Anthony Andreocci (husband to daughter Deborah). Josephine was predeceased by husband, William T. Eckert and son, William T. Eckert, Jr. and daughter, Deborah Andreocci.

Josephine is also survived by her loving grandchildren: Anthony Andreocci, Christine Dane, Nicole DeVito, Frank DeVito, William DeVito, Joseph DeVito, Andrea Lella, Ashley Lella, Mary Reynolds, Grace Eckert, Austin and Jack Brisner.

Great Grandchildren: Mia and Liana Andreocci, Jack and Logan Dane, Sophia and Sienna DeVito, Nora and Evelyn Reynolds, Jaxon and Alyssa Reynolds.
