Josephine DeAngelo

Josephine DeAngelo, 85, passed away on February 15, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

 Josephine was born on June 7, 1939 in Mezzojuso, Sicily, Italy to Antonino and Provvidenza Bellone. 

One thing that most people didn’t know about her is as teen, she attended most of the Rock and Roll shows at the Brooklyn Paramount. She met her loving husband and the two wed in 1957. They were married for 41 years before Thomas’s passing in 1998. She had a fulfilling career in the Board of Education as a secretary in many schools before retiring from I.S.75. 

Josephine had many hobbies which included cooking Italian food for her family, cruising, visiting her family in Italy, and most of all spending time with her family. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

 Josephine is predeceased by her husband Thomas DeAngelo, her daughter Lorraine, her parents Antonino and Provvidenza Ballone and her twin sister, Jean Frasca. She is survived by her children Thomas (Maureen), Joanne, John (Lori), and Gerard (Cristina); her 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
