Joseph Seggio

Joseph (Sonny) James Seggio, 85, of Staten Island passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side Monday, May 29, 2023. Born in Staten Island, New York on August 6, 1937, he was the only son of the late Louis Salvatore Seggio and Rose (Cotinaro) Seggio.

A Korean War veteran was honorably discharged in 1956. Joseph owned several businesses through the years.

Predeceased by his love Joann Seggio. Joseph is survived by his son Louis, daughter-in-law, Denise, and his grandchildren Louis Jr., Santino, and Francesco. Along with Amanda, Sarah (Alex), John, and Anthony. Additionally, he is Survived by his sisters Santa (Wuzzy) Valentino and Marie Russo along with their families.

Joseph enjoyed cooking, boating, playing cards, watching old westerns, especially with John Wayne, and playing catch with his grandkids. He took great pride in his family. He loved watching his grandson, Lou, play golf and his twin grandsons, Sonny and Cheech play football. But what he loved the most was BIG family dinners with all his family at the table. Often comfortable enough that he would fall asleep knowing we were all there or maybe just out of boredom. (HAHA)

Joseph impacted every life he touched and will surely be missed! Gone but not forgotten!
