Joseph Furnari

Joseph A. Furnari,78, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 13, 2022.  He was born in East Harlem, NYC on February 11, 1944 to Saro Furnari and Rose Vittorino.  He then made his home in Farmingdale, NJ.

He was an insurance agent for Prudential Insurance Company for many years.  Joseph was also an avid lover of golf.

Joseph was pre-deceased by his son-in-law, John Nuzzolo; step-daughter, Cheryle O’Hearn; sister, Donna Furnari; sister-in-law, Marie Furnari; brother-in-law, John Perez.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Furnari;  children, Denise Nuzzolo, Deborah Orlick, son-in-law, Robert,  Rosemarie Cisluycis, son-in-law, Dean; step-daughter, Erin  Ashby; step-son-in-law,Stephen; his loving dog, Kodiak; siblings, Diego Furnari, Frances Perez, Anthony Furnari, sister-in-law, Debbie ; grandchildren, John Nuzzolo (Kristin), Joseph, Kevin, Vanessa and Victoria Orlick,  John Mazzeo, Bradley and Cheryle Ashby; and great-grandchildren,  Ethan Aiello, John and Lilliana Nuzzolo.

There will be a eulogy on Friday at 8:00PM

A funeral Service will take place at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Saturday at 10:00AM. Cremation will be private.

Friends may visit Friday from 2-4, 7-9

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Joseph’s name would be appreciated.
