Joseph E. Alverson

Joseph Alverson, age 95 passed away on February 5, 2023.  Joseph was born December 5, 1927.

Joseph is predeceased by his wife Muriel.  They were wed for 50 years at the time of her death. Joseph is survived by Son, Joseph and daughter in law Linda, son, Robert and daughter in law Kristen, son, Thomas and daughter in law Lisa. Daughter, Ellen Cyriacks and late husband Stephen. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 predeceased grandchildren.  Joseph is survived by 6 great grandchildren.  

Joseph was employed by Staten Island Railway for over 35 years.  At the time of his retirement, he was a superintendent.  Joseph was an avid walker. He loved all genres of music.  Joseph was a fan of the Clann Eireann bag pipe band.  He even accompanied them on a trip to Ireland in 2000.

Visitation will be Wednesday at Bedell Pizzo funeral parlor between 2pm -4pm and 7pm-9pm.   Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians RC Church on  Thursday at 10am
