John Schron

October 8, 1949 — March 8, 2013

Lifelong Staten Islander John (Jack) T. Schron, 63, of Eltingville, died Friday in Staten Island University Hospital, Prince's Bay.

Born in Tottenville, Mr. Schron lived in Pleasant Plains before settling in Eltingville in the mid-1990s.

He was a detective for the NYPD in Manhattan, retiring in 1996.

He graduated from Tottenville High School.

Mr. Schron enjoyed spending time with his grandson and playing guitar.

Surviving are his wife of 29 years, the former Debra Guglielmetti; a daughter, Dawn Cerasani; a step-daughter, Theresa Cibbarelli; two sisters, Gene Zwingraf and Judy Schron, and two grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements, including cremation, are being handled by the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville.

Services: Tuesday, March 12,2013 10:00 A.M. Service at Bedell-Pizzo. Followed by Cremation, RoseHill Crematory.

Visitation: Friends will be received on Monday March 11, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M.
