John A. Riggio, 47, of Annadale, a data storage company supervisor and devoted family man, died Sunday in Staten Island University Hospital, Prince's Bay, of anaphylactic shock.
Born in Brooklyn, he moved with family to Annadale as a boy in 1977.
Mr. Riggio graduated from Tottenville High School.
He worked as a supervisor for Internap, Manhattan, and was in charge of data storage for heating, ventilation and air conditioning companies for the past 10 years.
Mr. Riggio loved being with his children. He enjoyed attending sporting events with them and watching his daughter play softball.
He also was a motocycle enthusiast.
Mr. Riggio attended St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, Pleasant Plains.
Surviving are his wife, the former Michele Buonomo; his son, John; his daughter, Danielle Riggio; his parents, John and Nancy Riggio, and two brothers, Joe and Billy.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Arrangements include cremation.
