Beloved husband and father John F. Peduzzi, 85, passed away on April 18, 2016.
He was a retired police officer who served with the N.Y.P.D. John was also a Korean War veteran who was an active member of the Corporal A. Kivlehan Chapter. He was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, and the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland.
John will always be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and being the neighborhood constant who always was the first to offer assistance to his neighbors.
He was a world traveler going to faraway places such as Egypt, Israel, Greece, Jordan, Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, Canada and the Bahamas. He was also a member of the board of trustees of the Staten Island Archaeological Society. He also attended Hunter College.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years,Anna, and his daughters, Anne Marie and Fran Peduzzi-Valentino and son-in-law Michael Valentino.
The viewing will be at the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 20, and Thursday, April 21, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be on Friday, April 22, at Holy Child Church at 10 a.m. The burial will follow at The Resurrection Cemetery on Sharrott Avenue.
