John Martin Odorisio, 55, passed away peacefully at home after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Brooklyn, he was raised on Staten Island and attended St. Ann's school and New Dorp H.S. He worked as a butcher for Pathmark and was a member of Local 342 for over 30 years. Affectionately known as "Johnny O," he was always the life of any party. He will be greatly missed by all. He loved to spend time with friends and family, but most of all his granddaughters, Isabella, Luciana, Chloe, and Avery. Survived by his beloved wife, Christine (Schiavone). Cherished son of Maria Cardello and the late Martin Odorisio; dearest brother of Rosemarie Cantelmo, Cathy Boccanfuso (Vincent), and Paris Paolillo (Joseph); like a father to Jon Vallaro (Lisa), Danielle Fratta (Joseph), and Christopher Vallaro, and loving uncle to many nephews and nieces. Friend may visit Wednesday, 5 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m. at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home. Funeral Mass is at 10:15 a.m. Friday at St. Charles R.C. Church.
