Longtime Staten Islander John Krane, 65, of Huguenot, a retired draftsman who was dedicated to his family, died Friday at home.

Mr. Krane was born and raised in Brooklyn. He moved to Willowbrook in 1978 and settled in Huguenot in 1984.

He had a 35-year career as a draftsman for the former Brooklyn Union Gas Co. and its successor, National Grid. He retired from National Grid in 2004.
Mr. Krane treasured time spent with his family.

He was fond of Lionel model trains and building model airplanes.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, the former Marie Kunicki, and his sons, William and Steve.

Arrangements, including cremation, were handled by the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville.

Services: PRIVATE CREMATION

Visitation: SUNDAY MAY 11,2014 7:00-9:00PM MONDAY MAY 12, 2014 2:00-4:00PM AND 7:00-9:00 PM

Cemetery: Cremation Will Be Private
