Joan Quinn

Joan Quinn, 87, formerly of Rossville, Staten Island, passed away peacefully Tuesday July 25^th, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Joan was born March 21^st, 1936 at Fort Jay, Governors Island, New York to John and Ella Levendoski.

Joan “Saint Joan” Quinn was known for her fun-loving nature, generosity, and heart of gold. She dedicated her life to her family, spending countless hours caring for her children and grandchildren. Joan had a passion for gardening and would spend much of her time tending to her plants and flowers. She found solace in nature and took pleasure in the beauty of her garden. Additionally, Joan enjoyed taking long car rides, appreciating the scenery and the freedom of the open road. She had a deep love for animals and always had a soft spot for her pets.

Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph H. Quinn, as well as her sister Grace Rendina, brother Charles Brown, and brother in law Pat McDonagh. She is survived by her son, Joseph Quinn, daughter-in-law, Kathy, daughter, Marie Sangiorgio, son-in-law, Robert, daughter, Teresa Caramico, son-in-law, Joseph, daughter, Beatrice Forlizzi, son-in-law, Anthony, son, Alfred Quinn, daughter-in-law, Joan, nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren with one on the way. Joan is also survived by her sisters Elanor McDonagh, Ellamay (Billy) Gerdes, her brothers Ricky (Shelia) Brown and Dennis Brown, brother in law Tony Rendina and sister in law Katie Brown.

Joan's warm and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. May she rest in eternal peace.
