Joan Drennan

Joan was born September 3rd, 1956 to Evelyn and Gilbert Drennan at Richmond Memorial Hospital. A lifelong resident of Staten Island she was raised in Tottenville, She attended various New York City Public School programs & subsequently began attending a day program at a Very Special Place in New Dorp. She then became a resident of a Very Special Place group home in the late 1980s. In 2007, Joan became a resident of Carmel Richmond Nursing Home due to an injury. She was a loving, kind daughter, and sister. She enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, and spending time with family. She will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her sister Nancy Modzelewski (Gary), her niece Lauren Eckenrode (Allen), Great nephews Allen IV and Collin and her nephew Danny, Her sister Elaine Drennan Connors, her nephews Sean and Andrew (Gina), and her nieces Ashley Goldstein (Brett) and Sara (Joey Fonti Fiance) along with a large extended family of cousins.
