Jenny Yordt, 75
Staten Island native, 'was the strength of her family'
Jenny Yordt (nee Miller), 75, died on March 9, 2018, at home.
Born in Dongan Hills, SI, Jenny then moved to Pleasant Plains for 35 years, then to The Villages, FL, for 13 years.
She was a homemaker, then worked as a credit manager for Lumiscope in Edison, N.J., retiring in 2002.
Jenny was the strength of her family and her grandchildren were her prized possessions.
Her family said that her smile was as bright as the sun and everyone who met her loved her. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, John H. Yordt, and her parents, Victoria X. Cullen and Louis Miller.
She is survived by her loving children, Jenny L., Jacquelyn (Denise Cioffi), John W. (Deirdre Nisbet), Eric (Patricia), her siblings, James, Louis and George Miller and Mary Mayer, her aunt, Ann Gross and six grandchildren. She is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Funeral from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, 7447 Amboy Rd., on Monday 9:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph R.C. Church (Rossville) at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow at Rosehill Crematory.
Friends may visit Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or ASPCA in Jenny's name would be appreciated.

Visitation: Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9PM
