Jean Tesoriero

December 31, 1932 - July 16, 2022
Jean J. Tesoriero, a Tottenville resident passed away peaceful on Saturday morning at the Addeo House (Hospice).  She was 89 years old.  Jean was a devoted wife to her husband Umberto for 68 years, and a beloved mother to her four children Angela Besignano (Robert), Rosalie Carbonaro (Alfredo), Diana Mauro (Peter), and Dominick Tesoriero (Christine).  She was also a proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Jean was born and raised in the Carroll Garden Section of Brooklyn and was the seventh of eight children born to Rosalia and Antonio Barbuto.  A homemaker, she raised her family in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn before moving to Princes' Bay in 1984.  Jean was an excellent cook and baker, and used her talents to entertain her family and friends.  She also enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, cruising, and traveling through Europe with her husband Umberto, most notably Italy.
Jean's family wishes to convey their sincere appreciation for all the calls and prayers they have received, and for the memories that have been shared by those who knew and loved her.  A special thank you to the staff at Staten Island University Hospital South, and to the Addeo House for making her final days comfortable.
