James J. Keane, 84, a loyal friend and family man lost his courageous battle with cancer on May 9, 2024.
James was a retired Board of Education Custodial Engineer who had worked at various schools in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island. He was known for his tremendous backyard parties, his jack of all trades knowledge, also his love of cars and motorcycles. Most of all, he was known for his lifetime friendships and love for his family.
A United States Marine Corp veteran, he leaves behind his loving wife, Rosemarie, his four children and their spouses; Rosemarie Mondello (Emanuel), James Keane (Gina), Margaret Pugliese (Gerard), Kellyann Savino (Anthony); and his seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He will be sorely missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital in James' name would be appreciated.
