Jacqueline Fisher-Ackalitis, 66, of Prince's Bay, Staten Island, N.Y., died on Nov. 7, 2016, at home. Born in Staten Island, Jacqueline lived here her entire life. She graduated high school from St. Louis Academy, then received a double master's degree in special education from college. She was a teacher for the NYC Department of Education, retiring in 2011. Jacqueline was a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Catholic War Vets Auxiliary, Post 1934. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, socializing, watching the Giants, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Jacqueline was married for 27 years to the late Robert Fisher. She is survived by her daughters, Arlene Streeter and husband Richard; Samantha Fisher and Johnell Wyatte, Cassandra Salangin and husband Daniel; and her siblings, Thomas Killea, Michael Ackalitis, Joan Justesen, and the late Kevin Killea, and her grandchildren, Amanda, Robert, and Jackie. The funeral will be from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady Help of Christian's R.C. Church at 11 a.m. Saturday. Cremation will be private. Friends may visit on Thursday and Friday at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Making Headway Foundation Inc., 115 King St. Chappaqua, N.Y. 10514 would be appreciated.

Visitation: Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home Thursday, November 10, 2016 & Friday, November 11, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9PM
