Gregory Patrick Galligano, 41, passed away on June 13, 2023. He always went by Greg and many friends called him "Stats".
Gregory was a 1999 graduate of St. Joseph by the Sea H.S. where he played hockey. He then continued his education and earned his Associates from North Country Community College and BBA in Marketing from SUNY Fredonia. During college he played hockey for both institutions and worked summer internships at the World Trade Center.
He was Co-Founder of Valore Books which was then sold to Smart Tuition. He pursued a career in acting, taking classes under renowned director and screenwriter Angel David, and stand-up comedy where he performed at Gotham and New York comedy clubs.
Greg was a lifelong fan of rap music and sports, both playing and watching. He especially loved following his favorite teams, the NY Rangers, NY Yankees and NY Giants, and was an avid fan of college football.
Greg loved to read, especially Stephen King, Mario Puzzo and comic books. He was a tremendous animal lover growing up with dogs his entire life and, despite severe allergies. He often fed and cared for stray cats in his neighborhood.
In his spare time Greg loved playing on an adult hockey league with his brother and best friend Ryan and visiting with family and friends.
Greg is pre-deceased by his parents, Ellen and Tony Galligano.
He is survived by his brother Ryan, sister Ellieanne (Ben), nephew Ezra , many cousins and countless friends.
Greg will be remembered for his incredible sense of humor, contagious energy, kind nature and loving heart.
