Gordon Sang

Native Staten Islander Gordon Douglas Sang, 31, of South Amboy, N.J., who will be remembered for his big heart and his willingness to help a friend or family member in time of need, died August 2 at his father's home in South Amboy.

Born and raised in Tottenville, he had lived in South Amboy for two years.

Mr. Sang graduated from Freehold Borough High School in 2002.

He loved cars and made many friendships working on them. He'd recently taken an interest in the Wounded Warriors Project, family said.

Surviving are his parents, Valerie Bernard-Sang and Hugh Gordon Sang, and his sister, Kristine Sang.

Arrangements, including cremation, were handled by the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville.
