George Sasso

George A. Sasso, 76, died on Sept. 11, 2016, of cancer at Edger Nursing Home.
George was born in Rosebank, later moving to Huguenot and Tottenville, and graduated from New Dorp High School.
George was a hairdresser for 60 years and was a past grand knight of Staten Island Knights of Columbus, past president of SIH Pediatric Care Club, and president of Staten Island Hairdressers Association. He was also a parishioner of Our Lady Star Of The Sea R.C. Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn (Miller) Sasso, and beloved children, George Sasso, Dawn Quinn, Lori Anwar, Tami Perrotta; dear brother of Catherine Johnson. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Cremation will be private. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9:30 p.m.
