George Ippolito, 61
Excavator in family-owned business, committed church member
George Ippolito, son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother-in-Christ to many, went home to be with the Lord who loved him and bought him with His own blood on Oct. 6, 2018, at the age of 61.
During his battle with stage 4 stomach cancer, George's anthem was "Praise You in the Storm," a song of trust in his Savior, knowing that whether he did or didn't recover from his illness that he was safe and secure because his sins were forgiven.
For many years, George worked alongside his father as an excavator in their family-owned business in Staten Island. Later, George spent his days working with excellence as a GR engineer for the DOT, serving his local church (Tottenville Evangelical Free Church) as a committed member while exercising his giftedness to serve others, providing for the family he loved, and being committed to helping and spending time with his mother and father.
George enjoyed going on vacations with his family, fixing things, cooking - making special meals to bless his family and friends, listening to Christian music like Casting Crowns and Third Day, as well as attending corporate worship on Sunday mornings and concerts.
Words cannot express how much George will be missed and how his life impacted so many.
