George Abel

George Abel, 57, of Tottenville, a loving brother and longtime restaurant manager, died Friday at home.

Born in Queens, Mr. Able moved to Huguenot in 1989. He had lived in Tottenville for the past 10 years.

Mr. Abel had a 25-year career in restaurant management and most recently worked for Nuccis Restaurant, Tottenville.

He graduated magna cum laude from New York City College of Technology, with a degree in hospitality management.

Mr. Abel enjoyed travel and was an avid baseball fan. He especially liked the Nw York Mets and Yankees. He also liked to collect sport memorabilia.

Surviving are his brothers, Fred and David.

The funeral will be Wednesday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians R.C. Church, both Tottenville. Arrangements include cremation.
