Gaetano Sena

Gaetano Sena, 78, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, surrounded by his family. Gaetano, known as “Nino,” was born in Sant’Angelo di Lombardi, Avellino, Italy. He came to the United States at the age of 13 and spent his life in the restaurant business. He had his own restaurant in Brooklyn, New York where he created amazing dishes from his Italian culture. He also loved to sing, joke, and paint canvases. He always dressed up when he went out and was vain about his hair being perfect. He enjoyed spending summers in Croatia, and weekends with his daughter in New Jersey.

He was a true believer and worshipper of Saint Padre Pio especially after receiving a kidney transplant that lasted 27 years. He strongly emphasizes that one must enjoy life each day, for tomorrow may never come. He was a man of strength and courage throughout the years. He cherished his grandchildren, and gave them love, devotion, and wisdom. He loved animals especially his daughter’s dog, Louie, who he always said was his dog.

Gaetano is survived by his wife, Dalia; his daughter, Jenny; his son, Nino; and three grandsons, Joseph, Daniel, and Gaetano. He will be missed by his family and friends, but his spirit will live on, and he will never be forgotten.

Gaetano is now an Angel in Heaven and may he rest in eternal peace with Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.
