Gaetana Cucci, 80, of Rossville, a retired seamstress who is remembered as a loving aunt, died Thursday in Staten Island University Hospital, Prince's Bay.

Born and raised in Palermo, Sicily, Italy, Ms. Cucci was educated there. She immigrated to the United States in 1967, and lived in Brooklyn with family. She lived in the borough until 1995, when she moved to Rossville to live with her nephew, Jack Cucci.

Ms. Cucci worked as a seamstress, and retired in 1995.

She attended masses at St. Joseph-St. Thomas R.C. Parish, Pleasant Plains.

Ms. Cucci enjoyed cooking and sewing. She especially loved spending time with her great- nieces and -nephews.

The funeral will be Thursday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Queens.
