STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Frank Savattere, 48, of New Springville, a plumber who is remembered as a loving father, died Thursday in the Staten Island University Hospital, in Ocean Breeze.
Born in Brooklyn, he moved with family to New Springville as a boy.
Mr. Savaterre graduated from Port Richmond High School in 1982.
He had worked as a plumber on the Island for over 20 years, family said.
Mr. Savaterre enjoyed playing his electric guitar and watching baseball and football games.
He loved spending time with his children and liked to take them bowling.
He was a family man. His life was about his kids, loved ones said.
Surviving Mr. Savattere are his son, Frankie; his daughter, Alanna; two brothers, Scott and Angelo Tierney, and a sister, Mattia Tierney.
The funeral will be Monday from the Bedell- Pizzo Funeral Home, with a mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians R.C. Church, both Tottenville. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
