Frank (Buddy) Kish III, 60, of Tottenville, a flight attendant and business owner whose life was centered on his family, died Sunday in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Manhattan.
Mr. Kish was born and raised in Tottenville and graduated from Tottenville High School in 1973.
After he and Marion Barberio wed in 1979, the couple lived in Eltingville, and later Annadale. They settled in Tottenville in 1993.
He worked for 18 years as a flight attendant for United Airlines and also co-owned Elegant Wine and Liquors in Tottenville with his daughter, Stefanie Kish. Earlier, he owned and operated Town & Country Deli in Tottenville for 22 years.
Mr. Kish enjoyed traveling, listening to music, especially musicals, and loved spending time with his granddaughter.
Described as generous and giving, he lived life to the fullest, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him, family said.
Mr. Kish was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church, Tottenville.
Surviving, along with Marion, his wife of 35 years, and his daughter, Stefanie, are his son, Frank IV, and a granddaughter.
The funeral service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Methodist Church. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains. The Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, is handling arrangements.
