Frank Appice Jr., 79, of Eltingville, Staten Island, N.Y., died on Jan. 15, 2017.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Frank was a high school graduate, and president of Tow-Kar Systems.
He was the founder and chairman of the board of Rolling Thunder Chapter 2 New York, and a board member of the Former Crew Members Association of the U.S.S. Intrepid.
Frank loved motorcycle riding, smoking cigars, antique cars and, most importantly, spending time with his family. He was an avid veterans supporter.
Frank is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Appice; his children, Robert, Billy, Peter, Denise, and Nicole; and 20 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sons, Frankie and Chuckie.
In lieu of flowers, Frank's wish was for a donation to the Disabled American Veterans Halloran Mem Chapter 34, 198 Justin Avenue SI, NY 10306.
A service will be held in Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Ocean View Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
