Frances M. Castellano. 90, passed away on October 13, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family.
My grandmother, Francis Castellano, was someone you could always count on to be up after hours. A true night owl, she found her own rhythm in the quiet of the late night. She loved her trips to the city with her first grandson Michael, and her family was the center of her world. Along with Michael, she cherished her many grandchildren—Jade, Joseph, and Scott, who were all blessed by her love.
Always perfectly put together, she wouldn’t leave the house unless every detail was flawless, from her nails down to her toes. Shopping brought her joy, and her elegance was reflected in everything she did. She taught all of us to love animals, often sharing stories about her Dobermans and her soul cat Harvey, who was saved by Uncle Michael on a busy bridge.
She dedicated her life to my grandpa Mike, her three sons, animals, and her unwavering faith in God. Every week, she would quietly slip into church in the early hours to clean, finding peace in caring for God’s house. It was her honor, and she found comfort in the stillness of the night.
She often reminisced about her sister, mother, and husband, feeling the weight of their absence in her heart. But through it all, she remained strong, graceful, and devoted, leaving behind a legacy of love and faith.
