Edythe Brennan, 93, died peacefully at Clove Lakes Nursing Home on March 4, 2017.
Born in Middletown, N.Y., she lived on Staten Island since 1950.
Edythe worked for the Census Bureau and was a school aide at P.S. 1. She was active in the Conference House Auxiliary.
She enjoyed roller skating and was a charter member of the South Shore Swimmimg Club, where she was a member for 52 years. She was an avid bridge player.
Edythe attended St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Eltingville, and was a member of the altar guild.
She was predeceased by her husband, George Brennan, who died in 1997. They were married for 49 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Bartolino and her husband, Gerard, and June Amundsen; her grandchildren, Michael Bartolino, Beth Scalafani, Dawn Amundsen and Jim Amundsen, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral is from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Thursday at 10:15 a.m., with a funeral service at St. Alban's Episcopal Church at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
