Edris Kohm

Edris A. Kohm, 87,of Huguenot passed away on February 20, 2021. Edris was born on Staten Island and lived in Huguenot for most of her life. She graduated from Port Richmond HS, then got her BA degree in English from College of Staten Island. She then got her Masters in Special Education from Columbia University.
Edris was an avid gardener, and enjoyed working with stained glass. She was active in Blue Heron Park, the Staten Island Herbal Society and was a master composter. In her later years, she became an avid card and word puzzle player. She taught at John J. HS and and College of Staten Island and was a volunteer tutor at the JCC

Edris is predeceased by her husband, Charles W. Kohm, Sr. after 54 years of marriage in 2006 and her son Charles W. Kohm, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Kevin (Linda) Kohm, Brian Hubbard, John (Lisa) Kohm, Otto (Tina) Montalvo, Joseph (Roseann) Kohm, Peter (Rea) Kohm, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Wednesday, 11:30AM. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Star of the Sea at 12:15PM.  Private cremation to follow

Friends may visit Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM
