It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother on September 29th, 2023. 

We invite all family and cherished friends, colleagues, and patients to a viewing and memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of a noble and devoted soul we deeply admire. 

Dr. Asha G. Mittal passed away on September 29th, 2023. Asha was the daughter of Sarup Chand Gupta and Kaushal Rani Gupta, born in Ludhiana, India on September 18th, 1952. She was a pioneer since childhood, riding ponies at 3 years old in the tree-topped Himalayan mountains of Shimla to being one of few women who studied medicine in Batch '71 at Rothak Medical College. Asha continued to pursue her passion for medicine in her private practice alongside her beloved husband and co-pilot, Dr. Harmesh Mittal, and also as a restauranteur for over 20 years in the New York City Metropolitan Area. She has devoted her life to her patients, some of whom she has cared for, for over 30 years.

Asha was also a dedicated and loving mother to her daughters, Dr. Mona Mittal and Shikha Mittal, and a devoted grandmother to Maahi Mittal. She shared her love for plants, good cake, elegant Indian fashion, and Bollywood singing and dancing with friends and family. Asha is also survived by her brother Sanjay Gupta and her sisters Kusum Gupta, Shaveta Aggarwal, and Shiphali Gupta, and their families

Asha was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2018. For much needed further research to support understanding Parkinson's and those affected by it, you can donate to www.parkinsons.org in honor of Asha.
