Dorothy Murray

Dorothy K. Murray, 89, of Prince's Bay, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Saturday in Buckingham at Norwood Care and Rehabilitation Center, Norwood, N.J.

Born in Manhattan, she settled in Prince's Bay in 1952.

Mrs. Murray most enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was fond of the companionship of her pets and vacationing on the Jersey shore, with Long Beach Island a favorite.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea R.C. Church, Huguenot.

Her husband of 62 years, Robert, died in 2009.

Surviving are her son, Robert Jr.; her daughters, Kathleen Bernard and Susan McCullough; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be Thursday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
