A sea of blue is expected to form in Tottenville on Tuesday as the NYPD pays tribute to Sgt. Donald (Scott) Conniff of Tottenville, who died from injuries he sustained in a crash with an alleged drunken driver almost 18 years ago.

Temporary blocking of streets and traffic back-ups on and around Amboy Road are possible as the Finest gather from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m on Tuesday for visitation at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home at 7447 Amboy Road in Tottenville.

The NYPD tribute will continue in Pleasant Plains on Wednesday with a line-of-duty funeral at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, 6097 Amboy Road. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery at 361 Sharrott Avenue.
