Dennis Carollo Sr., 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 9th, 2020. A great man, father, husband and poppy, he was beloved by all who had the honor of knowing him. Dennis served in the United States Army for three years. He played saxophone in the Army band and was honorably discharged. Thereafter, he worked in construction during the day, and was a dental technician at night. He then started his own successful plastering business.
Dennis’ humor was like no other and he always put a smile on everyone’s face. He was such a funny man and his heart was larger than life. Dennis was so kind and generous to all. His family was the light of his life and he loved them more than anything. He loved fishing, playing the saxophone and tinkering on his portable keyboard. He loved music and could always be heard humming, whistling or singing along to his favorite artists, Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Dean Martin and Jimmy Roselli (to name a few). An avid food lover, Dennis could either be found eating his favorite Italian dishes, or cooking them for anyone who came over, always welcoming people with open arms. He especially loved his service as the head usher in his beloved church, Our Lady Help of Christians, where he would arrive two hours early each Saturday evening to set up for Mass so everything would be perfect.
Dennis is survived by his loving family, his beloved wife of 54 years, Priscilla, his wonderful children, Jenine and Dennis Jr., and his beautiful grandchildren, Jacqliene and Joseph, who love him to pieces.
Rest in peace, you will be missed terribly and we love you so.
