Deborah Ann DeSantis, 57, of Prince's Bay, died Tuesday at Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze.
Born in Brooklyn, she lived in Dyker Heights before moving to Prince's Bay in August.
A graduate of Fort Hamilton High School, she earned a bachelor's degree in education from Brooklyn College.She began her teaching career at Our Lady Guadalupe School in Brooklyn, and transferred five years later to Holy Rosary School in South Beach, where she taught for the past 30 years.
She was a parishioner of Holy Rosary R.C. Church, South Beach.
She enjoyed the arts and dancing, and vacationing at the beach with family and friends.
Surviving are her son, David John DeSantis; two sisters, Barbara Amari and Lorraine Boccia, and her parents, Anne Marie and Laurence DeSantis.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
