David Joseph Morrissey

David Joseph Morrissey, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 7, 2025.

David was a master tradesman and was a member of Steamfitters, Local 638. He coached football for his boys at Staten Island Pee Wee for many years. He continued that tradition of coaching flag football for his grandsons teams at 9/11 flag football. David went to all his grandchildren's sporting events to cheer them on.

David was very adventurous and was a thrill-seeker. He loved skiing, sky diving, kayaking, and jogging. Later on in his life he enjoyed painting.

David was pre-deceased by his son, David.

He is survived by his beloved wife ,Carmella, whom he spoiled for sixty-four years; children, James and his wife, Dixie, Darin and his wife, Laura; daughter-in-law, Marie Sobeck; grandchildren, Dominick, Chase, DJ, Jarkeis, Zion; and great grandchildren, Bram and Serenity.
