Christopher Todd Grimando, 45, of Huguenot, a construction company owner, died Wednesday in Staten Island University Hospital, Prince's Bay.
Born in Brooklyn, he was brought to Castleton Corners as a child and settled in Huguenot in 2004.
A graduate of Susan Wagner High School, he was the owner of GRIMCO Construction Corp.
He loved working, spending time with his children, family and friends, and raising chickens. Mr. Grimando also loved landscaping and decorating, and he was known for always wearing Gucci loafers and having Windex in his hand, his family said.
Chris lived for and loved his children and life, said his wife of seven years, Kelli Ann.
He always had a smile on his face and would take the shirt off his back to give to a complete stranger, added his sister, Danielle.
In addition to his wife, Kelli Ann, Mr. Grimando is also survived by two sons, Christopher and Peter; two daughters, Brianne and Kennedy; his parents, Gerald and Margaret Grimando; a brother, Jason and three sisters, Dawn Grimando, Danielle Benyik and Allison Grimando.
The funeral will be Monday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians R.C. Church, Tottenville. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
