Christine Marie (Martino) Bessi

Christine M. Bessi, a retired Pathology Secretary passed from this life on Wed. 8/28/19, while a patient at Kindred Hospital, New Jersey.

Born Christine Martino, in Tottenville in 1952, she lived there all of her 66 years. A parishioner of Our Lady Help of Christians Church, she attended that parish school and went on to graduate from the original Tottenville High School.

She began working as Pathology Secretary at the former Richmond Memorial Hospital in 1970, where she met Richard Bessi. They married in 1983.

Chris was preceded in death by parents Anthony and Ann and her brother Robert. She is survived by husband Richard, sisters Pat and Barbara, and brother Anthony. In addition are Richards siblings Vera, Marilee and Ken.

Christine was beloved Aunt and Great Aunt to: Michael, Jennifer and Scott and Casey, Tracy and Ted and Lucas and Jamie Lynn, Elizabeth, Anthony, Jessica and Robby and Bree and Nicky. In addition are: John, Shannon, Genevieve and Nick and William, Valerie and Francois-Alexandre and Juliette and Samuel and Beatrice, Frank and Heather and Carter and Darren.

Her extended family and multitude of friends loved Christine and she loved them all. She will be missed, but will be always in our hearts.
